Telescopes

Sort by:

Telescopes have two general properties:

  • Light collection
  • Magnification

Generally, the larger the aperture (diameter of lens), the more light the telescope collects and brings to focus, and the brighter the final image.

The telescope's magnification is its ability to enlarge an image, this however is the least important feature in telescopes as there is not much use having a large magnification if the image quality is low.
